Henry Scroope of Danby and Ballystanley, Kings County, Ireland


Henry Scroope was son of Henry Scroope of Danby (born 1798). He was originally of Danby-upon-Yore, in the county of York, but moved from England to Ireland. He is recorded to have owned 107 acres of land in Ballystanley, of Kings County (Offaly County was formerly known as King's County from 1556 until the Irish Free State was established in 1922), Ireland in the latter part of the 1870's.
