William Le Scrope - born 1214

William Le Scrope was the son of Henry Le Scrope. He was born in 1214 at Bolton-in-Wensleydale, Yorkshire, England.

He was married to his wife (born in 1218 in Yorkshire, England) in 1244 in Flotmanby, Yorkshire, England. They had sons:

Richard Le Scrope - eldest son of William Le Scrope, served against the Welsh in 1263
Sir William Le Scrope - succeeded his brother Richard Le Scrope

William Le Scrope was recorded as living 39 Henry III 1254.

He died in 1296 and was buried with his father and other ancestors at Wenslay (Wensley).
