Robert Le Scrope - born 1134


Robert Le Scrope was the son Hugh Le Scrope. He was born in 1134 in Bridlington, Yorkshire, England. He like his father, was granted lands to the Priory of Bridlington, in Yorkshire.

He was married to his wife (born in 1138 in Bridlington, Yorkshire, England) in 1159 in Bridlington, Yorkshire, England.

He had two sons:

  • Philip Le Scrope - employed in 6 Rich. I. 1195 to render and account to the king of the revenues of the Archbishop of York, had two daughters:
    • Alice - died without issue, succeeded in inheritance by uncle
    • Maud - died without issue, succeeded in inheritance by uncle
  • Simon Le Scrope

Robert Le Scrope was granted lands to the same priory as his father, listed as holding a knight's fee in Yorkshire in 1198.

He died after 1198.
