Simon Thomas Scrope of
Danby-upon-Yore - born in 1758
Simon Thomas Scrope, esq. of Danby-upon-Yore, in the county of York was born in
1758. He succeed his father Simon Scrope in 1788.
He married Catherine Dorothy Meynell, eldest daughter of Edward Meynell, esq. of
Kilvington and Yarm, in the county of York on 3rd March, 1789. They had children:
- Simon Thomas Scrope - born 17th April, 1790, heir to his father; married in 1821 to
Mary, eldest daughter of John Jones, esq. of Llanarth Court, in Monmounthshire; They had
children:
- Simon-Thomas Scrope - heir to his father
- Henry John Scrope - born 15 May, 1828 in Danby, Yorkshire, England
- Edward Gerard Scrope - born 6th January, 1796
- Henry Scrope - born 13th October, 1798
- Frederick Scrope - born 25th December, 1801
- Charles-George Scrope - born 21st March, 1805
- Catherine-Dorothy - married in 1826 to Anthony-George Wright, esq. of Waltons, in Essex
and had issue
- Anne-Clementia
- Frances
- Mary-Barbara - died unmarried in 1797
Simon Thomas Scrope died August, 1838.
