Simon Scrope of Danby - born 21 March, 1709

Simon Scrope, esq. of Danby, Yorkshire, England was the successor of his father Simon Scrope. He was born 21 March, 1709.

He married Anne-Clementia, daughter of George Meynell, esq. of Aldborough and Dalton, in the county of York. They had children:

Simon Thomas Scrope - heir to his father
Clementia-Elizabeth-Francis - married James Maxwell, esq. of Kirkconnell; died without issue 10th November, 1815

Anne-Clementia was eventually coheir of her brother, George Meynell, esq. of Aldborough. Simon Scrope died 3rd January, 1788 and was succeeded by his son, Simon Thomas Scrope, esq. of Danby. He was buried in Ulshaw Chapel, Yorkshire, England.
