John Scrope of Spennithorne (born about 1496)

John Scrope was the second son of Sir Henry Le Scrope, 6th Baron Scrope of Bolton. He was born about 1496 in Spennithorne in the county of York.

He married Jane Ratcliff (born 1498) on 2 Apr 1510.

He married Phillis (born about 1489 in Wormsley, Oxfordshire, England; died 10 May 1576) daughter of Ralph Rokesby,esq. of Rokesby (Ropesby) and Morton (Mortham) in the county of York. They had children:
