Henry Scrope of Danby


Henry Scrope (born 14th October, 1605), son of Christopher Scrope, inherited the representation of the family, and thus became "of Danby".

His first marriage was to Anne, second daughter of Sir Edward Plumpton, knt of Plumpton, in the county of York. Together, they had an only daughter, Anne, who married Thomas tempest, esq. of Broughton, Yorkshire.

Henry Scrope's second marriage was to Anne, daughter of Robert Scrope, esq. of Wormsley, in Oxfordshire. They had only one son, who died without issue.

Henry Scrope died in 1642 and was succeeded by his brother, Simon Scrope.
